Terms of Service

Effective: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Yonder, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use Yonder.

3. Account Terms

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Each person may maintain only one account.

4. Subscription Terms

Yonder Pro is an auto-renewable subscription billed through Apple's App Store. Two plans are available: monthly ($9.99) and annual.

Free tier users receive limited weekly usage: 8 Ask responses and 8 Tour narrations per week.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through Apple's subscription management settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided except as required by Apple's refund policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse the service or attempt to circumvent usage limits
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the app
  • Use automated tools or scripts to access the API outside of normal app usage
  • Use Yonder in any way that compromises the safety of yourself or others while driving

6. AI-Generated Content

Narrations and answers are generated by AI using third-party data sources. Content is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current.

AI-generated content is not a substitute for official information, navigation guidance, or safety information. It is provided for entertainment and educational purposes only.

7. Third-Party Content & Attribution

Feature data is sourced from third-party providers, each subject to their own open licenses:

  • Wikipedia — Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (BY-SA)
  • OpenStreetMap — Open Database License (ODbL)
  • GeoNames — Creative Commons Attribution (BY)

We respect and maintain the attribution requirements of each.

8. Intellectual Property

The Yonder name, logo, design, and software are proprietary to Yonder Guides. AI-generated narrations are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated content.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Yonder Guides makes no warranties — express or implied — regarding accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Yonder Guides shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

11. Driving Safety

Yonder is an entertainment and education tool — not a navigation system. Do not allow Yonder to distract you from safe driving. The driver is always responsible for the safe operation of their vehicle.

We strongly recommend using Tour Mode's hands-free audio experience. Do not interact with the screen while driving.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Yonder after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
