Answers to common questions about Yonder.

What is Yonder?

Yonder is a GPS-powered tour guide app for your phone. It listens to your location as you drive, walk, or explore, and tells you interesting stories about the places you pass — completely hands-free.

How does Tour Mode work?

Turn on Tour Mode and start moving. Yonder checks what's nearby, picks the most interesting thing around you, and narrates a short story about it. It adapts to your speed, your interests, and what it's already told you — so you never hear the same thing twice.

What can I ask in Ask Mode?

Anything about your surroundings. "What's that mountain?" "Tell me about this town." "Why is this road called that?" Yonder uses your exact location and nearby features to give you a contextual, conversational answer.

What's free and what requires Yonder Pro?

Free users get 8 Ask answers and 8 Tour narrations per week, plus access to Kevin, our premium default voice. Yonder Pro unlocks unlimited Ask and Tour usage, plus the full catalog of premium voices.

What data does Yonder collect?

Your GPS location (to find nearby features), account email, voice preferences, and usage data (what you've listened to). We never sell your location data or share it with advertisers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Yonder Pro is billed through Apple. To cancel, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Yonder, and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

What voices are available?

Every user gets Kevin, a natural-sounding premium voice powered by ElevenLabs. Yonder Pro subscribers can choose from additional premium voices with different styles and tones in the app's voice settings.

Does Yonder work offline?

Yonder needs an internet connection to fetch nearby features and generate narrations. Offline support for pre-cached routes is planned for the future.
