One-sentence description

60-word description

Yonder is an iPhone app that tells you about the places you drive past. During a Journey, Guide narrates nearby places in a natural voice when there’s something worth saying. Ask a question like “What’s that mountain?” and Yonder answers from your exact location. Stories draw on four public data sources, and every story names its source on its card.

150-word description

Yonder is a GPS tour guide for iPhone. Start a Journey, and Guide follows your location and narrates nearby places worth a story. A natural voice reads each story aloud so drivers can keep their eyes on the road, and the text stays on screen for passengers.

Ask works when you’re curious. Say or type a question, such as “What’s that mountain?”, and Yonder answers for the exact spot where you are. Stories come from four public sources, and the card for each one says which source it used. Roadside historical markers get special attention, so you can hear a marker’s story even when you can’t pull over.

Every story can be saved as a Yonder and shared with a link. Yonder is free for a limited number of stories each week, and Yonder Pro removes the limit. It’s made by Rival Bear, a small studio in California’s Sierra Nevada.
